Hi, it's Thursday afternoon. today I am gonna do some review of Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Oily/Combination.
Alright, first thing first I have very oily, acne-prone and sensitive skin. How great is that, to have those three on somebody skin. hence, I have to be very careful ingredients of skincare and makeup product that I use. when I was looking for a great drugstore foundation for oily skin, some beauty blogger, YouTuber recommend The Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Oily/Combination. So here it is.
Okay, I bought it for IDR 145K on the Revlon Counter on the shade True Beige (320), which even though it's the darkest shade available in Indonesia, it still a little bit light for me 😣.
The formula is liquid, and it says it offers 24 hours long-wearing with a flawless matte finish look. Hoho let's see how long it will really last on my super oily face in Yogyakarta where the temperature usually ranges from 25-34 Celcius (from morning to night).
- Without Primer
- How long it last?
after almost 3 hour my face becomes really shiny, especially around my cheek and my forehead, and when I blotted my face with tissue some of the foundation left on the tissue. Oh No!. And it's cakey around my mouth area, I am not impressed.
- With Primer
-How long it last?
after 2 hour, my cheek starts to shine a little bit. after 4 hour my whole face becomes so shiny, so shiny that it can light up the dim room. It's also cakey on around my mouth and my cheek. I don't know why the foundation won't last longer though I already using primer.
After all, I don't think this foundation work for me, I don't like how it makes my skin cakey, and seems flat plus still looks oily. it also cause acne on my skin when I didn't clean it properly (which meant cleanse my face a few time). but my sister seem to like this foundation, well her skin is good (no acne, no big pores and not oily). Well, I guess what works for me may not work for others.
Well, that's all I can tell you about my personal review of Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Oily/Combination. Thanks, bye bye.
Edit: Turn out The Revlon Colorstay foundation is silicon-based, so that's why when I applied it with my Catrice prime and fine primer (which is water-based) they didn't work well and my face start to get oily much quicker than when I'm not using primer at all.
